Georgi Asenov Tassev
Was born in 1946 in village of Varbitsa – Pleven District, Bulgaria.
Graduated in Faculty of Mechanization of Agriculture of University
of Rousse “Angel Kantchev” (1973). PhD 1980 and Doctor of Technical
Sciences (2002). Was working in University of Rousse (1973-1987).
From 1987 has been working in Institute of Mechanization and
Electrification of Agriculture, Academy of Agriculture, Sofia
(1987-1996), where has been Deputy Director and Chief of Department
“Reliability and Repair of Machines”. Since 1996 has been working in
University of Forestry, Sofia as a Professor and Chief of Department
Mechanization of Forestry. Is an author of more than 180 science
publications, including in leading academic journals, reports of
international conferences and more than 15 textbooks and 4
monographs. Has a wide experience in testing and quality control of
all phases of the lifetime of the technical systems (tractors,
automobiles and agricultural machines).
Is a member of workgroup for introducing new methods for machine
testing.
Chairman of Union of Quality Experts in Bulgaria (1989) and Chief of
Department “Reliability of Machines”.
