Curriculum vita

Suponya A. graduated from Far Eastern State Technical University (FENTU) in 1965, earned his doctor degree in 1974 in specialty: control and automated adjustment in engineering systems. After graduation from the University, he served as a teacher in FENTU and since 1969 to date he has served in the Institute for Automation and Control Processes, Far Eastern Branch, Russian Academy of Science (IACP FEB RAS) in the following capacities: senior engineer, researcher, senior researcher, since 1983 as deputy director in scientific work.

He has engaged in scientific research work since 1965. Scope of scientific activities carried out by Suponya A.A. falls within the field of control and informatics. Basic scientific results are obtained in the working out of methods for quality and reliability enhancement of sophisticated technical equipment and systems. In particular, in solving the tasks of reliability control of technical systems by taking into account gradually occurring faults (prediction of gradually occurring faults, optimization of parameters and tolerances, choosing a strategy of system prophylactics, etc). In addition, a part of studies is devoted to application of information techniques in control (control of production processes, control of transport systems, automation of control process and decision making for regional administrative bodies, etc).

Suponya A. has published more than 100 scientific papers.
