Hendrik Schäbe
holds a diploma in physics and a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical
Physics from Byelorussian State University Minsk. After having
worked for 4 years in the automobile industry on reliability, he
qualified with a Habilitation in Mathematical Statistics and worked
at the University of Transport and Communication (Dresden) as a
docent for applied stochastic.
Since 1991 he is
working with the TÜV Rheinland Group, currently as Head of Section
Hazard and Risk Management.
He has an
experience of 25 years in safety and reliability with experience in
different areas of technology: nuclear technology, road vehicles,
railway, plant technology and control technology.
He is author of
about 190 scientific publications on physics, mathematics,
reliability and safety, co-author of one book and a patent.
His international
experience include, among others, several thematic networks and
projects funded by the European Union, for the ESTEC European Space
Research and Technology Centre) and several projects (Independent
Safety Assessment of the Integral Safety Cases for HSL-Zuid and
Betuwe Route).
He is fluent in
German, English, Russian and Dutch
