In 1969 he graduated
in physics from La Sapienza University of Rome, which he served as
an assistant in 1970. Next year he entered IBM and thenceforth
worked with this company. Upon retirement, he has been recognized as
an Emeritus Docent at IBM for his scientific achievements, and
serves as an Adjunct Professor at Luiss University of Rome. Rocchi
has authored over one hundred and thirty works including thirteen
volumes.

Stochastic entropy, physical models of system aging and of
system repairability

Subjective and frequentist interpretations of probability

Basic properties of classical and quantum information

Unifying calculus of redundancy

Methodologies for software programming and engineering

Didactics of informatics
