Alexandru ISAIC-MANIU has graduated the Faculty of Economic Computation and Economic Cybernetics in 1971, he holds a PhD diploma in “Cybernetics and Economic Statistics” from 1977 and he had gone through all didactic positions since 1971 when he joined the staff of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies. Since 1993 is full Professor of Statistics and Econometrics within the Department of Statistics and Econometrics and since 1997 he is PhD coordinator within Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics from the Academy of Economic Studies. He is the author of more than 35 books and over 300 journal articles and studies in the field of statistics, macro and microeconomics and econometrics in prestigious journals. He is also project director or member in many important research projects. He holds two patents and one certificate of invention. He is distinguished member of some scientific board for journals, member of the Board for Coordinating Statistical Activity within National Institute of Statistics, member of the Executive Board of GAER. Furthermore, he is expert accountant within the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania and assessor within J. M. Juran Foundation.
