Aswani Kumar Cherukuri

 

Dr. Ch. Aswani Kumar is Associate Professor and Division Leader, Networks and Information Security Division, School of Information Technology and Engineering, VIT University, Vellore, India.  He is program manager of M.Tech (IT) program.  Dr. Ch. Aswani Kumar holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from VIT University, India.  He also possesses Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Computer Science from Nagarjuna University, India. 

His current research interests are Information Retrieval, Text Mining, Formal Concept Analysis and Machine Intelligence. Dr. Aswani Kumar has published 30 refereed research papers so far in various national, international journals and conferences.  He received Young Scientist Fellowship from Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology for his research at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bombay.  He has received research publications awards from VIT University in 2007 and 2010 for his research publications in 2006 and 2009.  His biography is included in Marquis Who's Who in the World, 2011 Edition.

Dr. Aswani Kumar was principal investigator to a major research project sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, during 2006 - 2008.  Presently he is the principal investigator to a major research project funded by National Board of Higher Mathematics, Dept of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India.

Dr. Aswani Kumar is associated with various professional bodies including ACM, CSI, ISTE, IACSIT.  He is reviewer for many reputed international journals and conferences.  He is editorial board member for several international journals.
