Wiley is a
leading publisher for the scientific, technical, and medical (STM)
communities worldwide. Our STM programs encompass journals,
encyclopedias, and electronic products in subjects such as the life
and medical sciences, chemistry, statistics and mathematics,
electrical and electronics engineering, and select medical areas
with an emphasis on cancer medicine. Through Wiley InterScience, we
provide academic and corporate customers with online access to a
broad range of STM content through licensing agreements.
Our professional/trade offerings include books and subscription
products, both print and electronic. We serve professionals and
business people in specialized markets, a strategy that permits
greater product franchising and market penetration. Subject areas
include business, accounting, nonprofit institution management,
computers, psychology, architecture, engineering, hospitality and
culinary arts, and general interest.
We publish textbooks and other educational materials in print and
online
for
undergraduate and graduate students and lifelong learners. Our
programs are targeted to the sciences, engineering, mathematics, and
accounting, with growing positions in business, education, and
modern languages. In Australia, we are a leading publisher for the
secondary school market.
The Faculty of Mechanics &
Mathematics was organized in Moscow University in 1933, composed of
which the Department of Probability Theory was founded in 1935, the
latter became one of basic centre of excellence and scientific
researches in the field of probability calculus and mathematical
statistics in our country.
Many Soviet and Russian
scientists of this study are proud that they were students of the
Chair.
 The
Siberian Energy Institute (SEI) was established in August, 1960
within the Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences. L.A.
Melentiev, its first director, succeeded in attracting the best
graduates of institutes and collaborators of different organizations
from Moscow, Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Novosibirsk and Irkutsk who
formed the scientific core of the Institute. The atmosphere of
democratism, publicity and collectivism was typical of SEI from the
very beginning that was called "a spirit of SEI" later on...

семинар им. Ю.Н. Руденко
  В
1973 г. по инициативе Юрия Николаевича Руденко решением Научного
совета АН СССР по комплексным проблемам энергетики при Сибирском
энергетическом институте (СЭИ)* СО АН СССР был создан научный
семинар “Методические вопросы исследования надежности больших систем
энергетики”, получивший в последствии статус Всесоюзного. Сегодня
это Всероссийский научный семинар с международным участием. Эмблему
семинара знают все его участники. Она обязательно присутствует на
информационных письмах, программах заседаний, обложках трудов
семинара.
Объектами научных исследований семинара являются энергетический
комплекс (ЭК) России и входящие в него специализированные системы
энергетики (СЭ): электроэнергетические (ЭЭС), нефтеснабжающие (НСС),
газоснабжающие (ГСС), углеснабжающие (УСС) и теплоснабжающие (ТСС).

 Since
our establishment in 1978, we have performed hundreds of major
projects in both the public and private sectors. Our long-term
customers include the U.S. Government (Department of Defense, NASA,
the Federal Aviation Administration and Nuclear Regulatory
Commission), Fortune 500 technology and aerospace companies, and
small businesses (see customer list).
Our public sector projects have been in aerospace, air traffic
control, and nuclear energy domains. In the private sector, our work
has been in support of communications, power systems, industrial
controls, aircraft electric power systems, and ground transportation.
Our technical staff consists primarily of graduate level (MS and
Ph.D.) engineers with backgrounds in computer science, electrical
engineering, and mechanical engineering. We are located in the Los
Angeles and Washington, DC areas.
