About Us
Electronic Journal Reliability: Theory & Applications (ISSN 1932-2321) has been published by Gnedenko Forum since January 2006. The Journal covers various areas of risk analysis (reliability, safety, security, survivability, antiterrorism defensive ability, quality control, reliability testing, queuing models, and other related topics). Reliability: Theory & Applications (ISSN 1932-2321) is a peer-reviewed journal for researchers and practitioners who are involved in risk analysis and reliability engineering. The Journal will publish high-quality papers covering foundational, theoretical, methodological, and practical issues relevant for the safe and reliable design and operation of engineering systems from any industrial sector.
Theoretical and applied papers, reviews, memoirs, and bibliographical material on the topics are subjects of publication. Pure theoretical papers should contain new problems and/or new solutions and outline practical applications, but should not be overloaded with clumsy formal material. Priority is given to clear practical applications and case studies. Papers presented for publication are directed to members of the Editorial Board for review. The only exception is made for papers presented by Associate Editors who can personally recommend papers for publication.
Dear Colleagues, We would like to inform you of an important stage in the development of our journal - the transition to the modern editorial and publishing platform OJS (Open Journal Systems). To ensure a smooth migration and maintain access to all materials until the complete transfer of the archive, the old and new websites will operate in parallel. Starting in 2026, all new issues of the journal will be published exclusively on the new OJS-based website. Once the full archive has been migrated, access to the previous website will be discontinued. We will notify you separately of the completion date for this process. Please note: until the new platform is fully configured and an official announcement is made, we ask all authors to continue following the current submission procedure by sending materials to the editorial email address: a.bochkov@gmail.com. The Editorial Board will provide additional information regarding the launch of the new website and the transition to the electronic submission and peer-review system via OJS. Thank you for your understanding. Sincerely, Editorial Board

Requirements for the Introduction Section and Desk Reject Policy
1. Mandatory Structure of
the Introduction Section The Introduction section of the submitted manuscript must explicitly contain the following logically interconnected elements. The absence or unclear formulation of any of these is considered a significant flaw and constitutes grounds for rejection or a request for major revision prior to the peer review stage.
2. Desk Reject Policy The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to reject a manuscript at the initial stage, without sending it for peer review or assigning an Associate Editor, in the following cases:
As part of the submission process, you will be required to warrant that you are submitting your original work, that you have the rights in the work, that you are submitting the work to be first published in the Journal, that it is not being considered for publication elsewhere and has not already been published elsewhere, and that you have obtained and can supply all necessary permissions for the reproduction of any copyright work not owned by you.
Important aspects include:
and others.
Note: If a decision is made to request a Major Revision after the peer-review stage, only one round of major revision is permitted. A manuscript resubmitted after revision that still fails to address the key concerns of the reviewers and editors will be rejected.
You can submit your paper by e-mail: a.bochkov@gmail.com to Managing Editor RTA Alexander Bochkov.
